Multi-Application Cards
World events, the need for positive identification of individuals and technological advances are fueling the interest in multi-application cards.
These cards can be used for physical access control, time and attendance, photo ID, IT secure authentication, biometric template storage, digital cash and storage for employee records. A multi-technology card incorporates multiple technologies in order to support such applications as proximity technology, bar codes, magnetic stripes, smart cards and biometrics.
Carrying multiple technologies on a single plastic card provides enhanced security manageability.
